Sorensen Office Solutions completes the redesign and painting of the Sorensen Office Solutions fleet. This will assist in showcasing the new division as a dynamic, new aspect of Sorensen Moving and Storage and will play a large role in the marketing of Sorensen Office Solutions.
For the seventh year straight, Sorensen Moving and Storage supports Florida Tech with its annual Sporting Affairs event, and fundraiser wishes raise scholarship revenue for Florida Tech athletics. Sorensen was a major sponsor.

Sorensen Moving and Storage is a major sponsor of The Junior Achievement of the Space Coast 2010 Business Hall of Fame. The event raised approximately $125,000 for the benefit of Junior Achievement.

Sorensen Moving and Storage receives, sorts, stores and distributes food for University Elementary School in Melbourne. This was a project where the company supported United Way and this food drive was also done in partnership with Harris Corporation.

The Company totally retrofits its corporate offices on Eau Gallie Boulevard., in Melbourne, Florida. This includes the total upgrade to the company’s office furniture, painting, wall coverings and art work. New carpet and flooring also installed.

Expansion of Sorensen Office Solutions takes place. This division allows Sorensen Moving and Storage to expand and diversify into the sales of state of the art office furniture and systems, along with the design layout, installation, and reconfiguration of systems furniture. In this new division the company will also provide our traditional office moving services.

Sorensen Moving and Storage is awarded the contract to handle the moving services of Melbourne Internal Medicine Association (MIMA) from its location on Sheridan Rd in Melbourne and other locations within Melbourne to its new state of the art facilities located on Gateway Blvd. The job will run until April of 2010. MIMA is one of the largest physicians groups in the state of Florida.

Sorensen Moving and Storage is the title sponsor for the The Junior Achievement of the Space Coast golf fundraiser. Scott Sorensen, who is co-chair of the organization also served on the golf committee. The event raised nearly $55,000 for Junior Achievement.

Alan Williams is promoted to Director of Sorensen Office Solutions, a new division of Sorensen Moving and Storage. In Alan’s new position his responsibilities will include overseeing the company’s operations functions along with project management, business development, among other functions he will be responsible for.

Florida Tech Aviation chooses Sorensen Moving and Storage to relocate its office and facilities to a brand new facility located on the property of Melbourne International Regional Airport. Along with handling this move, Sorensen Moving and Storage also provides ongoing commercial moving services for Florida Tech.

Scott Sorensen also served as co-chair for this event which raised $165,000 to benefit both organizations.

Ronie Preston who began with Sorensen Moving & Storage in March, 2005 is promoted to Vice President, Administration. In her new position, Ronie will handle numerous administrative functions including human resource responsibilities, purchasing functions along with other administrative functions. Ronie will also serve on the Sorensen Moving and Storage leadership team.

Eugene Devellis, a long time Sorensen Moving and Storage employee and also one of Allied Van Lines Master Movers, is promoted to Director of Operations. In this new position, Gene will be responsible for overseeing the entire operations of Sorensen Moving and Storage.
Merritt Island High School awards Sorensen Moving and Storage the contract to handle its moving services while the school is totally remodeled and retrofitted.

Live TV in Melbourne, a subsidiary of Jet Blue based out of New York, NY awards Sorensen Moving and Storage the contract for relocating its corporate offices from Gateway Drive in Melbourne to the First Union building located on Babcock Street also located in Melbourne.

Harris Corporation renews its contract with SMS for the commercial office moving services performed for all of its Brevard County facilities. This contract extension continues the excellent relationship Sorensen has with Harris which dates back to 1978.
Sorensen Moving and Storage is awarded the contract to perform moving services for Astronaut High School while the school is remodeled and retrofitted.
